The Oktoberfest, held in Munich for over 200 years, is an annual highlight for millions of visitors from around the world. It starts when the mayor opens the first barrel with a cry of “O’ zapft ist!” (“It’s tapped!”), and 17 days later, over 6 million revelers will have consumed approximately 7 million litres of beer.

But it’s not just about the beer (and the wine and the schnapps…), there are a huge amount of tasty food treats available from the markets, such as Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes), Obazda (paprika-spiced cheese spread), pretzels and of course a whole host of Wurst (sausages). Just make sure you eat these after you’ve visited the funfair…

There’s no better way to stay in touch with friends and family during Oktoberfest than with a pre-paid GO-SIM international SIM card. Calls to the US are just $0.59 per minute, data rates are $0.49 per MB and there are no connection charges, hidden tariffs or service fees.  And if you’re looking for a great value handset package – look no further. Prost!
